Case Study – Bedford
We installed an energy efficient fan controller into a busy restaurant location. The fan being controlled was a 2.2kw TCBBx2 500mm diameter turbo prop fan motor. We calculated it’s energy usage as being £987.00 per year based on 10 hours operating per day and seven days a week opening.
The controller operated within it’s programmed limits and during testing we observed a 58% drop in consumed power over a week. We were happy with this and reported the saving to our client who was very happy with the savings.
A six month inspection visit and a quick check calculation later discovered the fan was continuing to make saving of around 48%, we attributed the drop to the rise of summer temperatures but was still operating within it’s designed parameters.
